Estate Sale Afghan
This is the afghan purchase that made me start this series. It’s my most recent afghan acquisition and I got it for a whole dollar at an estate sale only a few blocks from my house. The brightly knitted dots whispered “you need to draw me Kate” so I did.
This is a four-color risograph print of one of the many second-hand, handmade blankets that we have at our house.
This is a signed first edition of 30. Because of the nature of riso, each print is slightly different, but trust they were all printed by me on Janet the Riso on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024. Each print is based on an original drawing of gouache, ink pens, highlighters, and markers.
11×14 printed on white vellum bristol
Colors: Fluorescent Pink, Yellow, Black, and Blue
