Outlet stands in solidarity with our Black, Indigenous, and AAPI community—now and always.
We believe BLACK LIVES MATTER. We believe TRANS and QUEER lives matter. We believe in LAND BACK and REPARATIONS. We believe EVERYONE has the right to ABORTION ACCESS. We believe in ACCESSIBILITY. We’re committed to offering our services & resources to the most marginalized & disenfranchised of our community. We believe PRINT is POWER.
Words are great and all, but actions are better. Below are lists of resources, things we’re doing, and services we’re offering. We acknowledge that as a white-owned business we have a lot to learn and we call on other white business owners to show up with perpetual, actionable support—for our Black community, for our Indigenous community, for our AAPI and Latinx community, for our queer and trans community, for any who are marginalized and oppressed. It is our responsibility as businesses in a capitalist system to uplift and empower disenfranchised people to tell their stories and make their voices heard.
We’ve compiled a list of resources and local organizations to donate to and support. We also offer free poster and flyer printing and distribution. We’re offering discounted print services to as well as a scholarships to folks who would otherwise we unable to afford our workshops. While our focus is specifically on the Portland area, we’re also sharing downloadable files of many of the posters we print plus links to other printers around the world who are offering similar free or discounted printing services.

We want to make our services as available as possible. ->
We’re not a nonprofit, but we feel obligated and honored to be able to take steps to right centuries of inequity in terms of access. Printing and workshops probably aren’t going to change the world, but we hope they can bring a bit of joy and justice to our lives.
We’d love to offer these services to everyone, but we’re also trying to make ends meet with virtually no federal or state aid. Please take advantage of them if you need them—and if you don’t, we’d be super grateful if you could save them for someone who does.
Also, it’s hard to say this but—if you are a white or otherwise privileged person who’d like to support Outlet in endeavors like this, you can donate to our print fund, or buy a workshop for someone else. We take donations via Venmo (@outletpdx), and also have a section in our shop for donations. Thank you so much!
Poster/Flyer/Zine Printing & Distribution
We’re offering 100 free copies of a one-color risograph print to those making posters, flyers, zines, and other informational handouts for protests. This also applies to mutual aid groups creating resource zines or anything like that.
We’re handing these out via our brick-and-mortar shop. You can find our location and open hours here. We ask that you make a drop in appointment before coming by.
Workshop & Printing Scholarships
We set aside 1-2 free tickets to all of our workshops for BIPOC, trans, queer, and disabled folks who would otherwise be unable to attend.
If you’d like to get on our list for workshops you can fill out this form. We’ll let you know as soon as there’s a spot available!
Discounted Print Services
We have special rates for Black, Indigenous, and AAPI artists and creatives wanting to print with us. You can mention this when you’re filling out our remote printing quote form, or signing up for open hours and we’ll make sure to adjust our fees.
We also occasionally offer fully-covered print services for those in need. We generally reserve these services for Portland-based Black and Indigenous creatives, but are open to discussing options with you. Feel free to contact us!
Outlet is deeply committed to supporting Indigenous communities and acknowledging the stolen land we occupy in what is today known as Portland, OR.
Outlet rests on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Tumwater, Watlala bands of the Chinook, the Tualatin Kalapuya, and many other Indigenous nations that live and have lived along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers.
We invite you to acknowledge our shared responsibility in supporting Indigenous nations always, and to consider our roles in reconciliation, decolonization, and accomplice/comrade-ship. You can learn about the Indigenous history of the land upon which you stand by visiting native-land.ca. Outlet contributes monthly to NAYA and the American Indian College Fund as a way to actively support our Indigenous community. We call on other white-owned businesses to do the same. Setting up recurring donations to Indigenous organizations is one way to “pay dues” on the land you occupy, and to support initiatives like the LAND BACK movement.
This land acknowledgement was modified with permission from APANO’s Land Acknowledgement in the Digital Sphere.
Need more community resources? We’ve compiled a non-exhaustive list here.
We’re learning, and we’re so grateful to the folks who teach us and hold us accountable.
We also know gratitude isn’t enough. If there’s something we can do better, or if you want to engage us or hold us accountable, please contact us.
