Join Outlet and Honeyed Words for a free summer celebration of storytelling June 21st-22nd! Summer Story Fest will bring together zinesters, authors, and other storytellers throughout Sonny’s House, Outlet, New Crusher Courtyard, Atomic Garage, and While on Earth. Enjoy music, ice cream, drop-in workshops, and pop-up activities at the best bookish block party of the summer!

Workshop: Linocut Bookmarks
6/18 — 5-8pm @ Honeyed Words Bookstore

Spend the evening with @lemon.droop learning the basics of linocut printing and leave with your own linocut supplies and a small edition of bookmarks so you can keep creating at home! 

Workshop: Bookbinding 101
6/19 — 5:30-8:30pm @ Honeyed Words Bookstore

Learn to make a custom sketchbook! Are you wondering how to bind your own books but don’t know where to start? Want to make your friend or loved one (or yourself!) a meaningful hand-made gift? In this class @camillawatsonart will teach you how to make a watercolor sketchbook and give you the foundational tools and skills needed to delve deeper into the wonderful world of book arts. Materials provided and all skill levels are welcome!

Workshop: Riso Animation With Zine Hug!
6/20 — 5-8pm @ Outlet PDX

Join us for a risograph animation workshop with our friends Zine Hug! Transform the look of your digital video using the analog risograph process! Bring animation or video footage to print with 2-colors using the risograph printer. You will learn how to prepare a video file for print, how to use the risograph printer, and how to compile the prints back into a digital video file.
